COCKTAILS

The Anchor cocktail list was put together by Jules & Jacob -
their aim was to provide some familiar drinks,
some twisted classics and some just plain twisted.
All cocktails have at least 2 shots in them so please enjoy responsibily

Bombphire

This Birmingham classic finds its way home to its creator, an irresistible mix of fresh kiwi and mint, balanced with fresh lime juice and Bombay Sapphire gin – light refreshing and moreish.

Sherbetini

This twist on a Cosmopolitan adds a childhood favourite flavour, cleverly mixing Stolichnaya Raspberry vodka with Grand Marnier, fresh lime & cranberry – remind you of anything?

Jimi Hendricks

Hendricks gin stirred with lime, orange citrus and spiced cardamom – a subtle refined twist on the Gimlet.

Evil Queen

Snow Queen vodka stirred with elderflower and violet liqueur, plum bitters and sweet vermouth – an elegant nod to the Martinez cocktail.

HMS Artisan

An original creation utilising Tanqueray gin, sweet vermouth, lemon, Sauvignon Blanc and a tickle of Absinthe – seductive and naughty.

Dram Cacha

Abelha Cachaca built with fresh lime juice, Green Chartreuse and Drambuie, finished with orange bitters – a dram with a difference.

Whisky Maximum

We’ve taken the Whisky Mac and stretched it, Monkey Shoulder blended malt with Stone’s ginger wine, almond, apple juice and topped with ginger ale – great length, deeply satisfying.

Stephspresso Martini

Our nod to the Espresso Martini. 1 whole espresso shaken with Mason’s Yorkshire Tea gin, demerara, Kahlua and Mozart dark chocolate liqueur – the thinking man’s vodka Redbull.

Pilgrim

Jim Bean bourbon stirred with aged port and Benedictine liqueur – fashioned from the classic Manhattan cocktail, this one is a little more travelled and heavenly. However if you like it with more teeth try Devil’s Pilgrim with Jim Beam Devil’s Cut £10.00

Amazeballs Mai Tai

Out twist on the classic tiki cocktail, blending Wray & Nephew over proof rum, Goslings Black Seal rum and Appleton Golden rum with fresh lime, pineapple juice, almond and bubble-gum syrup – it’s amazeballs with a surprise at the end.

WINE

RED WINE

Cape Heights Shiraz – South Africa

A ripe and juicy Shiraz, packed with dark fruit flavours and black pepper notes on the palate. Lively and attractive nose, this wine has ripe acidity, depth, character and long finish.

The Listening Station Malbec – Australia

A dark appealing, chocolatey Malbec with an abundance of crisp, minerally fruit.

Conde Bel Rioja Tinto – Spain

A Tempranillo Garnacha blend with 6 months oak ageing from Bodegas Franco-Espanolas. It has distinctive Rioja aromas with cherry fruit, soft creamy oak and a spicy finish.

Puy des Domes Pinot  Noir, Auvergne – France

Puy de Dome is a cimmune within the Auvergene region to the south of Loire and is named after the large volcanic dome that is the local landmark. The granite soils and 350 – 550 metres of vineyard elevation are ideal for production of this cool-clime-style Pinot. This Pinot Noir is characterised by its superb purity of fruit, exhibiting ripe redcurrant, raspberry and cherry flavours, with a softness and harmony from a year’s maturation without oak.

WHITE WINE

Cape Heights Chenin Blanc – South Africa

A fresh, dry white wine with a delicate lemon colour, displaying intense floral, guava and citrus aromas and succulent tropical fruit on the palate, balanced by crisp acidity.

Conde Ber Rioja Blanco – Spain

A delicate, light white wine with fruity aromas and gentle citrus fruit.

Quara Estate Torrontes – Argentina

Aromatic floral notes, honeyed peach and pear fruit with an exotic, opulent character. Extended ageing on the lees has resulted in a beautifully weighed and balanced wine with plenty of fruit notes.
